Iraq's Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbousi discussed on Sunday issues related to investment chances in Iraq with Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali al-Kuwari and its accompanying delegation, parliament's media service reported.
During their meeting in Baghdad, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations, to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples of the two countries, according to the official statement.
They also reviewed the economic and trade bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Qatar, activating investments, and benefiting from the experiences of Qatari companies and their contribution for reconstruction efforts in Iraq.
Halbousi, during the meeting, stressed the parliament's support for the Iraqi government and its understanding of openness to neighboring and world countries on the basis of mutual interests.
