Abd al-Mahdi inspects construction work of Baghdad's military hospital

Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi on Thursday inspected the construction works of a military hospital in central Baghdad, set to be equipped to treat hundreds of Iraqi armed forces officers and soldiers.

The site will be able to accommodate 400 beds, eleven surgery rooms, the Prime Minister's Information Office said in a statement. The project that was set to be implemented during the past five years, has been launched recently.

During his visit, Abd al-Mahdi urged the supervisors of the project to work on finishing the project as soon as possible, and to provide it with advanced technological equipment required to provide medical services to members of the armed forces.
