Abd al-Mahdi lauds Sadr's anti-corruption initiative

Iraq's Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi lauded the initiative of leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr aiming at backing anti-corruption measures, urging political powers to uncover the corrupt persons.

Abd al-Mahdi called on all political forces to take serious steps to combat corruption, reform the government system, and protect public funds, in order to provide a suitable working environment that would ensure judging those involved in corruption.

He also called on the forces to uncover the corrupt who took part in obstructing the development of the country, and affecting the citizens' economic and security conditions.
