Parliament’s foreign affairs committee said nullified on Wednesday a list of 28 people who were submitted by the former government to be appointed as ambassadors to many countries.

Committee member Amer al-Fayez said that the list would be considered cancelled in case it is not resubmitted by the current cabinet, adding that in case the list was sent again, it will be revised to replace suspicious names.

It was claimed that the list earlier sent by Haidar al-Abadi’s government contains names of sons of ministers of Saddam Hussein’s regime, and others who belong to the outlawed Ba’ath Party.
