After six months, Abd al-Mahdi fails to complete his cabinet
Voting
on the candidates for the remaining ministries in Adil Abd al-Mahdi's
government will not take place in the parliamentary session set to take
place on Wednesday, according to the session's agenda.
The parliament will address
different topics during the session.
The
parliament, according to Wednesday's agenda, will consider the submitted
appeals on the validity of the membership of some parliament members, as well
as the first reading a draft law to amend the national presses law No. 5 for 1999.
The
table also includes the first reading of the mineral investment draft law, and
the first reading of the draft law amending the law of social welfare No. 126
for 1980.
On October 24, Abd al-Mahdi managed to get the parliamentary approval on
14 out of 22 ministries. However disagreement between political blocs
especially on security ministries have thwarted Abd al-Mahdi's efforts to
complete the cabinet in a short time.
