Arab countries condemn sabotage of 4 Emirati Ships in Gulf of Oman
Several Arab countries have condemned sabotage of four ships in Gulf of Oman near the regional waters of the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement, Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry described the sabotage as dangerous actions that threaten safety of the maritime navigation. It expressed solidarity with the UAE in all actions taken to protect its safety and interests.
Moreover, it called on the international community to shoulder responsibility to guarantee the safety of the maritime navigation and confront threats against international security.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry deeply condemned actions that harm UAE national security.
In another statement, the Yemeni Foreign Ministry condemned the actions saying that whoever in charge seeks destabilizing the situations in the region as well as the stability of Emirates.
It also expressed solidarity with the people and government of Emirates, stressing necessity to hold the perpetrators accountable.
“Such actions is a dangerous development that not only harms Emirates but the safety and security of the international maritime navigation,” Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iriani tweeted.
In another statement, Abdul-Latif bin Rashed al-Zayani, secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, considered the actions as a dangerous escalation that reveals bad intentions of the perpetrators, who endangered the maritime navigation and the crews working on the ships.
Jordan’s Foreign Ministry has also renewed stance rejecting violence that targets safety of the international navigation.
Sufian al-Qudah, spokesperson of the ministry, expressed solidarity with Emirates in all actions taken to target it security.
In related context, the Arab Parliament urged the international community to take immediate action to secure the maritime navigation.
Earlier, US sources said that Iran's regime is the one behind the attack against the four ships in the Gulf of Oman near the United Arabs of Emirates.
