A number of Iraqi Parliament members received a ban on travelling to the United States, amid efforts to cancel this decision, informed sources have told The Baghdad Post.
“Some members of the Parliament were banned from entering the U.S. because of their repeated stands against Washington,” the sources further added.
Moreover, efforts are underway to demand a cancellation of the penalty and treat the politicians as ordinary Iraqi citizens, regardless of their political positions.
Some Iran-oriented lawmakers in Iraq have been calling for the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq and have passed legislation on the matter, while turning a blind eye to the violations and crimes committed by the Iranian militias in the country.
