The Strategic Center for Human Rights has reported that approximately 54,000 complaints of domestic violence have been filed in Iraqi courts over the past three years, with a notable increase in violence against husbands by their wives, now accounting for 17% of cases. Fadhil Azawi, the head of the Strategic Center for Human Rights, highlighted that according to statistics from the Iraqi Judicial Council, 13,857 complaints of domestic violence were registered in the first six months of this year.
