Border between Iraq, Syria to be opened soon: Ghanimi

Iraqi Army Chief of Staff Othman al-Ghanimi announced Monday that the border crossing between Syria and Iraq will be opened during the next days, adding that the two countries will continue to exchange visits and activate trade between them.
"There is great coordination between the Syrian and Iraqi armies to counter terrorism," Ghanimi said in a press statement in Damascus, adding that the security of Syria and Iraq is "indivisible."
The Iraqi Defense Ministry announced on Sunday the arrival of Ghanimi, who is heading a high-level delegation to Damascus to participate in the meeting of chiefs of staff.
