A group of university students in the Kurdish city of Mus, southeastern Turkey, constructed shelters for stray animals from waste materials like wood.

Mus Alparslan University (MSU) students prepared the shelters in different sizes for cats, dogs and birds.

Wooden nests and cages were placed on trees, streets and in the snow, as a cold snap has swept cross the predominately-Kurdish province.
