Kurdish delegation in Baghdad to discuss 5 issues with gov't
A high-level Kurdish delegation will visit Baghdad soon to tackle several issue with the federal government, an official said.
In remarks, Jamal Kojar, head of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc, said “the delegation will tackle five issues with the government of Adil Abdul-Mahdi’s cabinet, including oil and applying the terms related to it that were mentioned in the 2019 state budget law.”
Moreover, he added that “among the issues that will be tackled in the customs fees, the candidate for Justice Ministry, disbanding Nineveh Provincial Council, the situation in Kirkuk and the demographic changes there.”
The 2019 state budget law obliges the federal government to disburse the financial requirements of the Kurdistan employees and Peshmerga, while Kurdistan Region’s government exports 250,000 barrels of oil daily.
