Turkey shut down the oil pipeline used by both the federal Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to export crude oil to the Mediterranean terminal of Ceyhan on Feb. 6 as a precautionary measure after a massive earthquake struck southern Turkey.
The volume of crude that is transported through the Iraq-Turkey Pipeline (ITP) system in January was about 428,000 barrels per day (bpd), the bulk of it KRG crude exported independently of Baghdad.
