Shafaq News/ Air defense systems successfully thwarted a drone attack targeting the Erbil International Airport, a security source revealed on Thursday.
The drone, reportedly carrying explosives, was intercepted and shot down by air defense systems before reaching its target near the airport, the sources said.
No casualties or damage were reported, according to the source.
