Another round of talks between the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on the formation of a new cabinet has started in Sulaimani city.

A delegation from the KDP met with a high-level delegation from the PUK in Suaimani on Monday (January 21) to discuss the formation of a new government.

A source from the PUK Politburo told NRT Digital Media that both sides would discuss the results of talks conducted by a special negotiating committee.

Meanwhile, a member of the KDP delegation, who spoke under condition of anonymity, told NRT Digital Media that a delegation from the Change Movement (Gorran) would visit the KDP in Erbil for separate negotiations.

107 days have passed over the Kurdistan parliamentary election. Previous meetings between the three parties failed to yield an agreement.
