UN Security Council votes for UNAMI’s withdrawal from Iraq by 2025 at Baghdad’s request

In response to a formal request from Baghdad, the United Nations Security Council unanimously approved on Friday the conclusion of the United Nations political mission in Iraq by the end of 2025, marking the conclusion of over two decades of presence in the country.
