A Kurdish man was granted refugee status in Germany until 2030 due to threats of political persecution by Turkish authorities as a result of his support for the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). Despite residing in Germany since 2019, Turkey pursued him with an Interpol arrest warrant.
