Protests and Solidarity Rallies Emerge After Turkish Police Raid Journalist Rabia Onver’s Home Following the arrest of JinNews journalist Rabia Onver, whose home was raided by Turkish police due to her reporting on the state's involvement in prostitution and drug-related issues, the Mesopotamia Women's Journalists Association (MKG) is organizing support activities in Van and Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova). MKG spokeswoman Roza Metina, speaking to Channel 8, disclosed that the police raided Onver’s home yesterday evening, seeking to confiscate her digital materials. The MKG has stated that its members visited Onver's residence earlier today and will issue a public press statement later. In addition to this, a rally in support of Onver will take place this evening in the city of Van, organized in collaboration with the Tigris Euphrates Journalists' Association (DFG) and with participation from the public.
