In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Media Office shared that Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for Ms. AlYahya's efforts in facilitating Iraq’s membership in the DCO, a priority for his administration. He emphasized the opportunities Iraq will gain from the organization’s expertise in digital trade, training programs, and the development of digital laws and regulations. Al-Sudani also underscored that a Higher Committee for Digital Transformation, under his leadership, has been established to design a comprehensive strategy that aligns with Iraq’s digital goals and international standards, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence. He extended an official invitation for Ms. AlYahya to visit Iraq. Ms. AlYahya welcomed Iraq’s decision to join the DCO and confirmed that work plans and programs will soon be initiated in the country after the signing of the organization’s charter. She emphasized that Iraq would benefit from skills transfer and training initiatives as part of its membership.
