The Iraqi Ministry of Defense has condemned the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on Friday evening targeting locations in southern Beirut. The ministry described the attack as part of a series of Israeli aggressions aimed at undermining key figures of the resistance.
In an official statement, the ministry expressed its deep regret over this "cowardly act," calling it a blatant violation of international laws and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region. The ministry affirmed that the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah would not deter the resistance from continuing its fight against the occupation and defending the rights of oppressed people in Palestine and Lebanon.
The Iraqi Ministry of Defense also emphasized its full solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian people in the face of ongoing Israeli aggression, urging the international community to intervene immediately to stop these attacks and uphold the rights of nations to live with dignity on their land.
