Informed sources following the developments in the region have confirmed that Israel is preparing to respond within the next 48 hours to Iran's recent strike. One source emphasized that the Israeli response is "inevitable," while discussions are currently focused on the nature and potential scale of the attack.

Another source revealed that the United States is exerting pressure on Israel regarding the selection of targets, having previously agreed to the response on the condition that it does not escalate into a full-scale war.

A third source hinted that targeting Iran's nuclear reactor might be one of the options on the table, but there is a concerted effort to ensure that Iran would be unable to respond effectively after the strike.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the anticipated Israeli response could lead to significant shifts in the regional balance, particularly concerning Iran.

Earlier today, the Israeli military announced updates to defense directives in several areas, including northern Tel Aviv, near Gaza, and parts of the West Bank. These changes will allow gatherings of up to 2,000 people, up from 1,000.

Israeli media outlets suggested that the attack might commence tonight, but no further details were provided. Other reports mentioned that sites in Iraq could be targeted.

However, Admiral Daniel Hagari, the Israeli military spokesperson, said in a televised statement that Israel will respond to the Iranian missile strike when the time is right, noting that two airbases were hit but remain fully operational.

He added: "We will choose the right time and place to respond, according to the instructions of the political leadership."
