The fierce Israeli attacks against sites and barracks of the famous Al-Quds brigade in Syria’s Damascus sends a message to the Iran-backed militias in Iraq.
The case now is in Baghdad, not Syria as more than 60 militias founded by Iran in Iraq are threatening its security.
Experts say that the Israeli strikes against the weapon stashes of Al-Quds brigade, which is unable to respond, show the Israeli success from one side and that it has become totally aware that striking the Iranian militias in Iraq is easier than imagined.
Confrontation
Observers believe that the case now is a direct war and confrontation. If Iran, or its militias, is able to do anything, then it can do it.
Israeli immigration minister Yoav Gallant said Israel will expel Iran from Syria.
Commenting on the security incidents on the northern borders with Syria, Gallant was quoted by Israeli media as saying that Israel will not allow establishing Iranian army in Syria.
Expelling Iran from Syria
Gallant also added that they will not allow Hezbollah to open another front in Golan heights.
The remarks came after Israel carried out a series of strikes on Sunday night against several sites in Syria, saying the sites were for Iran’s Al-Quds brigade.
Previously, the Israeli army said the strikes came in response to a missile fired from Syria against Golan heights.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he will not allow Iranian hostile actions. As he was inaugurating a new airport, south of Israel, on Monday, he said the air force carried out a strong strike against Iranian targets in Syria, after Iran fired a missile from there against Israel.
On the other side, weak remarks were made by Iran threatening to destroy Israel. The Iranian commander of the air force said his country awaits confronting Israel.
The Young Journalists Club, supervised by the Iranian official TV, quoted Commander of Iran Air Force Brig. Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh as saying that his troops await confronting the Zionists to wipe it off the face of earth.
Iran has always declared about hostility against Israel, however, no direct confrontation occurred between two countries, although Israel announced several times targeting Iranian headquarters in Syria, since beginning of war in mid-2011.
Targeted sites of Al-Quds brigade
The Israeli army has revealed about the sites of Al-Quds brigade, which it targeted in Syria on Monday, saying it will continue to confront Iranian attempts to destabilize Israel.
On Twitter, the Israeli army posted photos showing training sites, intelligence centers and weapon stashes for Al-Quds brigade in Syria.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the Israeli missiles managed to destroy weapon stashes for Iran and Hezbollah in the vicinity of Damascus International Airpor, al-Kiswah and Jumraya, causing huge losses.
