SUMMARY

According to the latest available data from the Turkish Directorate General for Migration Management (DGMM) currently there are more than 4 million foreign nationals present in Turkish territory seeking international protection. Most of them are Syrian nationals (3,639,705) who are granted the temporary protection (TP) status. Turkish Land Forces apprehended a total of 12,206 migrants on entry to the country and another 1,663 who attempted to exit the country.
