Amnesty International said in a report in April that it has documented 145 execution cases for juvenile offenders since 1990 in 10 countries including Iran.

The use of the death penalty for crimes committed by people younger than 18 is prohibited under international human rights law, yet some countries still execute child offenders, AI said.

Other countries with high rate of executions, according to AI, also include China, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Sudan, Sudan, and Yemen.
