After the 2020 U.S election, Americans became more divided because of the result and the outcome that appeared to be unrealistic to some people. The U.S presidential election’s integrity has become more questionable when Joe Biden was elected. Obviously, Donald Trump, then president, had a role to fuel the anger of his supporters, which has caused a lot of commotion in the country. But also he was a reason for people to stand up to the classical elite politicians in the United States because he was not a member of such an elite. However, the politicians contenders have continuously accused Trump of being a lousy voice who has lost the election.
Now, Trump has been charged with felony conspiracy in connection with the effort to overturn the 2020 U.S election. Obviously, the political conflict became uglier in the U.S with the Department of Criminal Justice being involved in this historical legal case.
Charging Trump did not return confidence to the voters, conversely, it caused more anger and distrust among his supporters toward the political system in the United States. The politicians in the United States are the main reason of the issues, and American voters are not only out raged about Trump’s case but also are overwhelmed by the chaos of the political system and Biden Administration as well.
The integrity of election is Americans’ concern as, first, they approach the 2024 election, and second, they see non-transparency among the political community. The politicians’s effort to distract the voters is completely obvious in the United States. Americans are caught up in the middle of a political hurricane and have no exit route. In this chaotic political situation between Biden and Trump the voters are divided to more than two groups in both Democratic and Republican Party.
The rhetoric of defending democracy and individual rights is nothing but a propaganda of the political community. The U.S political system is in a crises as many dishonest politicians are becoming part of the government and causing disasters. In fact, to compare the U.S politicians to the corrupt politicians across the world, there is not much difference.
People’s low confidence in the U.S election is because of an ambiguity of the system and the actions of the politicians after assuming the office. Such actions would raise question on how they were elected. Domestically, the United States is struggling under the Biden administration as blatantly spreading untruthfulness about every issue such as improving economy and reducing inflation. Internationally, this administration has drove the world to (semi-World War III) which formed in Ukraine-Russia war.
Therefore, even many democrats voters have stepped aside and either quietly or loudly oppose Biden. Across from Biden is Trump as his demeanor worries many American voters, including Republicans, but the equation is different. Although there are many voters are definitely not favoring Trump, but generally he kept his base strong. However, Trump is still not attracting the majority of voters.
It is a political disaster for Americans as their choices are limited to (bad, worst, and worse). The political conflict and the financial interests have blinded the majority of the American politicians. It seems that the voters in the U.S like some voters across the world are on the same boat paddling against the waves.
