Salih urges necessity to document ISIS crimes in Iraq

Iraqi President Barham Salih has highlighted the importance of expediting the documentation of ISIS crimes in Iraq, a statement said.
During a meeting in Baghdad with Karim Khan, the UN Special Adviser and Head of the Investigative Team tasked with collecting evidence of ISIS crimes, Salih hailed the organization's role for following up with Iraqi authorities to document the crimes.
He also urged the need to accelerate the collection of evidence on ISIS crimes against the Iraqis, and to bring those involved in such crimes to international courts.
Meanwhile, Khan indicated the efforts made by the UN to investigate and document the crimes and to stay in contact with the survivors and civil society organizations for this purpose.
