IMIS-affiliated militias steal oil in Nineveh

MP Ahmed Al-Jabouri tweeted on Friday that armed groups affiliated with the Iranian Militias in Iraq and Syria (IMIS) are smuggling oil from the oilfields in the Qayyarah subdistrict, southern Nineveh.
Al-Jabouri added that the Qayyarah oilfields contain 27 oil wells that ISIS used to steal oil from and then sell it in black markets.
He also said the current and previous governments have information about IMIS-affiliated militias that steals around 100 oil tanks of crude oil and they chose to turn a blind eye.
He further stressed the necessity to save Iraq’s oil.
