Salih affirms Iraq's keenness to pass bill compensating Yazidi survivors

Iraq's President Barham Salih, on Tuesday congratulated the Yazidis for the Yazidi New Year's Eve, while praising the sacrifices they made to defend Iraq.
Salih said that Iraq hopes that the parliament adopts the bill that would compensate the Yazidi survivors after they were had psychologically and physically suffered.
"The Yazidis are original [citizens] in this country and have had an effective and vital role in building it and establishing its peaceful unity," Salih stated.
