'Special' spring snow draws visitors to Kurdistan from Mosul

People drove hours from Iraq’s second-largest city of Mosul, where temperatures are forecast to reach 20 Celsius over the weekend, to enjoy what they describe as a “special” snow.
Some visitors took the put it in their freezer to keep it for the summer.
Most of the frenzy centered on Mount Gara, about 50 kilometers northeast of Duhok city near the town of Amedi.
The area is near the border with Turkey.
