Fans of Britain’s Got Talent were left breathless while watching contestant Matthew Stirling put on a dramatic magic show - but could be left infuriated when they discover he’s already a hugely successful Hollywood stuntman, The Mirror reported.

The 46-year-old hopeful appeared on Saturday night’s edition of BGT and left the judges, live studio audience, and viewers at home in awe as he went through a daredevil routine which saw stuntmen set on fire and dramatic falls from high places.

However it seems Matt might have more experience than most looking to kickstart an amateur career into something more mainstream.

The muscled star has already had a career in Hollywood spanning almost two decades - performing stunts in some of the highest grossing films of all time.

Matt has appeared in multiple Star Wars films, several episodes of Game of Thrones, appeared in Kingsman, four Harry Potter films, and the Bond film Spectre.

He even has acting credits in movies including Fast & Furious 6 and Star Wars smash Rogue One.

Fans tuning into to BGT were under the impression the ageing muscle man was waiting for his first taste of fame.

“You’re going to smash it now! Hopefully it’s the break you deserve!” one unaware viewer gushed on Twitter.

However another rumbled the star to point out he already had a glittering and highly successful career.

“Looks like Matt Stirling has had a good career as a stuntman to,” a viewer wrote on Twitter , linking to Matt’s IMDB page which boasts over 90 TV and Film projects he has worked on since 2002.

It was not the only controversial moment in the latest episode of Britain's Got Talent.

Roller blading due Rosie, 21, and Adam, 38, were accused of lying by viewers after they performed a daredevil routine but claimed to have only been working together for a matter of weeks.

While Golden Buzzer winning 10-year-old singer Giorgia Borg was revealed to be a former Junior Eurovision Song Contest contestant.
