US President Donald Trump is monitoring the situation in Venezuela, where opposition leader Juan Guaido on Tuesday called for a military uprising to back his plan to oust President Nicolas Maduro, the White House said.
"The president has been briefed and we are monitoring the ongoing situation," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in an email.
