Iraq condemns sabotage acts against 4 vessels near UAE
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry voiced
on Tuesday condemnation of the sabotage acts against four vessels in the
territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates.
The ministry affirmed Iraq's
solidarity with "our brothers in the UAE in facing the challenges and
confronting all attempts to destabilize its security, stability and the safety
of its citizens."
Iraq believes that the damage occurred
to these vessels is a threat to the security of the entire Gulf, stressing the
need of concerted efforts to counter any threat and take measures to preserve
the security and stability of the region.
It also called on the countries of
the region and the international community to pursue a policy cooperation to
ensure the safety of tankers and secure the navigation in the Gulf region.
